Denise Markonish is a writer and curator who, in late June, will become the Martin Friedman Chief Curator at the Madison Square Park Conservancy. She was previously Chief Curator at MASS MoCA where she curated exhibitions such as 2012’s survey Oh, Canada and projects with Joseph Grigely, Glenn Kaino, Teresita Fernández, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Vincent Valdez, Sarah Oppenheimer, Mark Dion, and Laurie Anderson.
